Product Poll

The 2008 Product Poll closed at midnight on 29 April 2008 and pricing for the 2008-2009 subscription cycle will be confirmed by 5 May 2008. .

The ERA Product Poll is intended to establish, annually, the level of library interest in subscriptions to the resources offered on the Electronic Resources Australia Product List and help coordinate subscription details with vendors.

Officers who are in a position to commit their library, or library consortium, to subscriptions are invited to indicate their interest through the ERA Product Polls.

You will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Library or library consortia name;
  • Contact details;
  • National Union Catalogue (NUC) symbol if a member of Libraries Australia ;
  • National/State/Territory of library (ie Australian members of National & State Libraries Australasia);
  • Sector the library identifies with (ie Public, School, Academic, TAFE, Special or National/
    State/Territory);
  • Which resources from the Product List are of interest, and details of any existing subscription/s;
  • Maximum price you are willing to pay for products of interest;
  • Preferred authentication mechanism for remote access; and
  • Membership of any other Australian library purchasing consortia.

The extent of Australian library pick-up may influence the final ERA subscription price for any of the e-resources on the Product List. Poll results will give you an indication of the extent of library product pick-up per Australian library sector, State and Territory.
