Speaking from Experience
The Speaking From Experience series consists of video recordings from Australian patients and care-givers relating their experiences of living medical conditions and syndromes. Each of the titles has been developed in partnership with the relevant peak health support group and endorsed by the Australian Medical Association and the Medical Journal of Australia. The series addresses a broad range of illnesses, including the more commonly known such as heart disease, depression, diabetes, asthma and arthritis, through to the less common such as motor neurone disease, Huntington’s disease and cystic fibrosis. Issues such as grief and ageing are also dealt with sensitively and appropriately. The Speaking From Experience e-resource is a versatile educational tool for patients, carers and health professionals.
